As I read along, I more and more got convinced of the need to detoxify. I decided to join a 21-day program of which I am now halfway. And although it isn't easy (I normally drink a lot of coffee during the day), I feel energetic and lively.

For all the folks who consider a detox diet but are in doubt of starting: it ain't as hard as it sounds. I've heard of strict and severe diets but the one I did was easy to follow. I really enjoyed the process and got great results. I felt more powerful. I just bought the book "Detox Yourself" by Jane Scrivner.

I have to admit I was a little sceptical. "How can more carrots and less steaks change the way I feel". A friend persuaded me to try it together.
In the beginning I didn't feel any changes, as a matter a fact I felt hungry and languid. I thought of quitting and going back to my beloved hamburgers. Am I glad I didn't !! After one week I started to enjoy an intense feeling in my body. I never felt more healthy in my life before. And everybody wanted to know where I had been on vacation as 'I looked so good'. Definitely something I recommend to everybody.

For me the best thing about my detox plan was that I finally took the time to relax. Every morning I started (and still start) with my breathing exercises, very three days I enjoyed an aroma therapy bath, I took some massage and even started jogging twice a week. I can't tell you how much stress and tension just vanished. A fantastic experience.

In my opinion, the best thing about a detox diet is the time you spend on your body. I do a lot of yoga and meditation, pay attention on my breathing and take a relaxing bath filled with herbs three times a week. And I guarantee you, the world is a much better place.
